New Delhi: The 4th Baba Deep Singh Hockey (Men and Women) and Basketball (Men and Women) tournament will be held from Thursday, April 17, 2025. This tournament is organized by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College of Delhi University.

The tournament will be inaugurated by chief guest former hockey olympian and the member of the winning team of hockey World Cup 1975, Mr. Ashok Diwan. On this occasion, Joint Secretary of Petroleum Sports Promotion Board, Mr. Gautam Wadhera and Professor Gurmohinder Singh, Principal of host Khalsa College will also be present.

According to Khalsa College’s Director Physical Education, Ms. Inderpreet Kaur Nanda tournament will be held in the men’s and women’s category at the Inter College level. 6 teams are participating in men’s hockey and 4 teams in the women’s category. In men’s section matches will be played on league cum knockout format and in the women’s section there will be round robin league format.

The Basketball competition will start on 21 April 2025 in which 8 teams will participate in both men & women categories. Competition will be played on the league cum knockout format. The final of the tournament will be played on 25 April 2025. The competition is being organized in collaboration with the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board.
