Atul, Pratyush Shine as Shyam Lal College Crushes St. Stephen’s 13-1 in PSPB Baba Deep Singh Hockey Tournament

New Delhi: On the second day of the 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Hockey (Men’s and Women’s) Tournament, in the men’s category, Shyam Lal College handed St. Stephen’s College a crushing 13-1 defeat in a one-sided contest.

Playing on the grounds of Delhi University’s Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Shyam Lal College’s Atul Chaudhary scored 5 goals, Pratyush Singh Jaggi scored 3 goals, while Manmohan, Abhishek, Harsh, Pankaj, and Akash each contributed one goal. The solitary goal for the defeated team was scored by Vishal.

The match between Hansraj College and the Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (IGIPESS) ended in a 2-2 draw. Hansraj College’s Gurshish received the ‘Player of the Match’ award.

In the women’s category, Delhi University Alumna team defeated Shyama Prasad Mukherji College 2-1. Delhi University Alumna’s Sangeeta Yadav was named the ‘Player of the Match’.
