Indian Korfball team earns 5th place, will play in World Championship next year

New Delhi: Indian Korfball team earned 5th place and a ticket to participate in the World Championship.In the last match India beat Japan 12-10 in the IKF Asia – Oceania Korfball Championship 2022 at Bangkok, Thailand.

The  IKF World Korfball Championship 2023 will be held from 20 to 29 October 2023 in Taipei.
India will participate in the next World Championship for the 1st time since 2011.

On the first day Australia beat India 18-8, next day India defeated Japan 15-10, third day India won against host Thailand 16-9 and on day four India lost to Taipei 11-36 and on day five India defeated Indonesia 25-8 and qualified for the World Championship.
