Mohan Nagar: Lakshya Dalal scored a brilliant double century as SRK Technology defeated Young Friends Club by 105 runs in the 8th Rajpati Mishra memorial Cricket Tournament for Sports Sun Trophy being played here at Mohan Meakins ground.

Mayank Rawat won the toss and decided that Young Friends club will bowl first. SRK Technology scored a huge score of 384 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 40 overs. The bowlers of Young Friends Club looked absolutely helpless. Lakshya Dalal played an innings of 207 runs in 117 balls with the help of 23 fours and 10 sixes, this was also the first double century of the tournament.

Lakshya Thareja played an unbeaten inning of 65 and Keshav Dabas scored 42 runs. Vishal Chaudhary and Aryan Kapoor took 2 wickets each.

Chasing a mammoth target of 385 runs, though the Young Friends batsmen scored quickly, but they keep loosing wickets at regular intervals and entire team could score 279 runs in 31.2 overs. Captain Mayank Rawat’s first bowling and then the change in the batting order also surprised everyone. Snehashish Shah, who gave a great start to the Young Friends Club in the entire tournament, came to bat at number 6, Sahil Tada, who scored the most runs in the entire tournament and won man of the tournament award, came to bat at number 5 in the final match instead of number 3. Tada scored the highest innings of 78 runs for the team. Aryan Cooper scored 39 and Sikandar scored 35 runs. Keshal Dabas took 3 wickets by giving 35 runs and Anshuman Yadav and Gaurav Saroha took 2-2 wickets.

Sports Sun Chairman Pawan Kumar and Ghaziabad Cricket Association President Rakesh Mishra were the chief guest and they were honoured by Vijay Bahadur Mishra and Anand Mishra.
