India beat Australia by 6 runs in the 5th T20I to win the series 4-1 here at Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru.
India scored 160 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs and in reply Australia could score only 154 for 8 in 20 overs.
Ravi Bishnoi is the Player of the Series for his impeccable bowling performance, claiming 9 wickets in 5 matches.
Axar Patel adjudged Player of the match for his all-around performance, 31 runs in 21 balls and 1 wicket for 14 runs.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav said after the match, “Yeah, it was a great series from the start. We definitely aimed to be fearless and enjoy our time in the middle, so I’m really happy with how that turned out. Having watched numerous games at Chinnaswamy, I know that a total in the range of 160-175 can be quite tricky to chase here.”

Brief scores-

India 160 for 8 (Shreyas Iyer 53, Dwarshuis 2-30, Behrendorff 2-38) beat Australia 154 for 8 (McDermott 54, Mukesh 3-32, Ravi Bishnoi 2-29).

Mathew Wade, Australia Captain said,  “I think we bowled quite well overall. It’s disappointing, though, how we performed with the bat in the last five or six overs. There’s always this temptation to move up the order, particularly against the spinners. My role is to steer the team through situations like we faced tonight. We’ve played some solid cricket in this series. McDermott, for instance, has really bounced back. It’s tough playing in conditions like these.”

Axar Patel, Player of the Match,  said, “Today’s match was really enjoyable for me. Unlike the first four matches where there was dew, today’s wicket was just perfect for my style. It took a couple of games, but I’ve found my rhythm now. Bowling alongside Ravi Bishnoi, who I’ve played with in Gujarat, works well for us. We complement each other’s styles, and I’m looking forward to seeing how our partnership develops.”

Ravi Bishnoi, Player of the Series, said, “In the first match, I didn’t bowl, so I just concentrated on executing my plans effectively. My approach is straightforward – to bowl stump-to-stump. Regarding the upcoming South Africa series, it’s a different wicket and a different challenge, but I’ll try to adapt as quickly as possible.”
