United Club wins inaugural hockey match of Delhi Olympic Games 2024

New Delhi: The men’s and women’s hockey tournaments of the Delhi Olympic Games 2024 began at Shyam Lal College, Delhi University. Delhi Hockey and Delhi Olympic Association organizing this. tournament.
The tournament was inaugurated by College Principal Professor Rabi Narayan Kar and General Secretary of Delhi Hockey, Mrs. Asha Thakur.
In the first match of the women’s category, United Club defeated Tiger Club 8-0. Priyanka scored two goals. Mansi, Sonu, Shubham, Muskaan, Divya, Juhi scored one goal each.
  In the men’s category, GS Education Sports Academy defeated Chhota Nagpur 6-1. On behalf of the winning team, Guna Shankar, Rohit, Sunil, Ritesh, Vikas and Rohit Kumar scored one goal each, while Ashok scored one goal for Chhota Nagpur.

Today’s third match in the men’s category was played between Jamia and Jai Bharat Academy. The match was tied 1-1 but due to the injection of Jai Bharat Academy to the umpire’s decision, they stopped playing the match  further, due to which Jamia was declared the winner in this match.
