I truly appreciate this thoughtful initiative by Servotech. Tree plantation is not only about greening our surroundings but also about leaving behind a healthier, sustainable legacy for future generations. Today also marks the death anniversary of my father, Late Shri Arun Jaitley. Seeing this effort at the stadium that bears his name is a heartfelt reminder of his vision and values, and I am glad we could celebrate his memory in such a meaningful way- Rohan Jaitley,  President, DDCA

New Delhi: A special plantation drive was on Sunday organized here at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to honor the legacy of Late Shri Arun Jaitley on his 6th death anniversary by Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) and Servotech Renewable Power System Limited.

As the Renewable Energy Partner in the Delhi Premier League (DPL), Servotech aims to link cricket with environmental action, using the excitement of the sport to promote sustainability and inspire players, fans, and communities to embrace green practices and contribute to building a cleaner, healthier future.

The event was graced in the presence of Apex Council of DDCA including its president Rohan Jaitley, along with Raman Bhatia, Managing Director of Servotech, and senior officials from both Servotech and DDCA. Together, they actively participated in planting saplings, reinforcing the shared commitment to environmental protection and sustainable growth.

Speaking on the sidelines of the initiative, Rohan Jaitley, President of DDCA appreciated the initiative and said, “I truly appreciate this thoughtful initiative by Servotech. Tree plantation is not only about greening our surroundings but also about leaving behind a healthier, sustainable legacy for future generations.”

“Today also marks the death anniversary of my father, Late Shri Arun Jaitley. Seeing this effort at the stadium that bears his name is a heartfelt reminder of his vision and values, and I am glad we could celebrate his memory in such a meaningful way,” he added.

Rohan Jaitley also wrote on ‘X’ –  “They say time heals everything. But some wounds are so deep they still feel fresh, some cracks are so wide they cannot be filled, and certain sadness so great that it is almost impossible to bear. So we carry on as we must, grateful for your blessings that we feel everyday. We miss you always Dad.”

Speaking of the plantation drive, Raman Bhatia, Managing Director, Servotech Renewable, shared his vision for a greener future and said, “At Servotech, we believe that sports, especially cricket, have an incredible power to bring people together. By linking the passion of the game with our mission for sustainability, we aim to inspire a new generation to take action.”

This plantation drive forms a part of Servotech’s broader vision to advance renewable energy and sustainability in India. Servotech remains steadfast in its pledge to initiate and support projects that foster environmental responsibility and create a greener future for generations to come.

The event concluded with participants planting saplings, reinforcing the message of environmental preservation and the need for collective action toward a greener future. The presence of Rohan Jaitley added a special significance to the occasion, symbolically linking the legacy of the late Shri Arun Jaitley with a shared vision of sustainability and responsibility for generations to come.

Arun Jaitley Ji — a distinguished statesman, visionary leader, and legal luminary. His immense contributions as Union Minister in shaping India’s economy and governance remain unparalleled. Beyond politics, Sh. Jaitley Ji also made remarkable contributions to Indian cricket.
