Randeep Hooda, an accomplished equestrian and polo champion, and Lin Laishram, a pioneering archer from Manipur and the first from her state to join the Tata Archery Academy, embody grit, excellence, and sporting spirit. The duo are expected to bring in a lot of excitement and encouragement for budding archers from across the country, thereby aligning with the Prithviraj Yodhas’ vision for pioneering success at the Archery Premier League.

TEAM PROFILE

Matias Grande

Matias Grande is an international archer from Mexico who competes with a recurve bow. He is an Olympian and Pan American Champion making him one of the most promising young archers in the world. Matias first gained attention when he claimed individual silver at the 2023 Pan American Games in Chile. Having taken bronze at the 2022 Pan American Championships, he went on to claim the continental title in Colombia in 2024.

He played a key role in securing Mexico’s team quota place at the final Olympic qualifier for Paris 2024, going on to make his Olympic debut at those Games, where he finished ninth in the individual competition.

 

Andrea Becerra

Andrea Becerra is an international archer from Mexico who competes using a compound bow. She is a two-time World Archery Championships silver medal winner and two-time Pan American Champion. Andrea began archery in 2012 and by 2018 had already claimed team gold at the Pan American Championships in Colombia. Individual success came a year later when she secured Pan American Games silver in Peru. She also triumphed at the World University Games in Italy. In 2021, her career reached new heights as she claimed the bronze medal at the World Archery Championships in the USA. The following year she contributed to Mexico’s team gold medal at the Pan American Championships in Chile.

Andrea continued her impressive form in 2023, winning individual bronze at the Pan American Games in Chile before claiming individual silver at the World Archery Championships in Germany where she also secured team silver. In 2024, Becerra added two individual Archery World Cup silver medals to her impressive resume as well as winning team bronze at the Pan American Championships in Colombia.

 

Abhishek Verma

Abhishek Verma is an international archer from India who competes using a compound bow. He is a World Archery Championships medallist, four-time Asian Champion and Asian Games Champion. Making his senior international debut in 2013 Abhishek impressed, winning the team and mixed team Asian Archery Championships titles. He has gone on to win a remarkable 13 medals at these continental events including individual gold in 2017.

He made his Asian Games debut in 2014, winning the team title as well as collecting the individual silver medal. Team silver followed at the 2018 Games and Abhishek helped his team regain the title at the 2023 edition as well as collecting his second individual silver at the event. The highlight of his multiple World Archery Championship appearances came in 2021 when he and long-time mixed team partner Jyothi Surekha Vennam secured the silver medal in the USA. The pair went on to win bronze and the 2022 World Games, also in the USA.

Abhishek won his first Hyundai Archery World Cup gold medal in the individual event at the Wroclaw stage in 2015 and has gone on to collect 10 circuit titles. He has claimed three medals at the Archery World Cup Finals – individual silver in 2015 plus mixed team silver and individual bronze in 2018.

 

Priyansh

Priyansh is an international archer from India who competes using a compound bow. He is a two-time Asian Championships gold medallist. Showing promise in the junior ranks, Priyansh claimed the individual and mixed titles at the 2022 World Archery Youth Championships in Ireland. The following year, Priyansh made a strong impact on the senior circuit winning the mixed team and team gold medals at the Asian Championships.

His 2024 Hyundai Archery World Cup season was prolific, winning individual silver medals at the stages in China and Türkiye as well as picking up a team gold medal in China and mixed team silver in Korea. Priyansh’s consistent performances that season earned him a spot at the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final in Mexico, where he lost to teammate Prathamesh Fuge in the quarterfinal.

 

Gatha Anandrao

Gatha Anandrao Khadake is a 15-year-old archer from Maharashtra, India, who has emerged as a promising talent in recurve archery. Hailing from Tembhurni, a village in Solapur district, she started archery at age seven and has since made significant strides in the sport. Gatha, won a bronze medal in the U18 mixed recurve event, contributed to a bronze medal in the U18 women’s recurve team event with Jiana Kumar and Sharvari Shende, triumphing over the USA.

Sharvari Somnath

Sharvari Somnath Shende is an international recurve archer. She started Archery in 2017, on an Indian bow and started wining medals at state and nationals. She played her first International in 2023 that was The Youth World Championship. In 2024, she won her first International medal at Aisa Cup Stage 3 at Suwon, Korea. It was a team bronze medal. She has also won a silver at Asian Youth Championship in Chinese Taipei. She became a YOUTH WORLD CHAMPION and won one Individual Gold and one team Bronze medal.

Krish Kumar

Krish is playing archery from 6 years and played 2 indoor tournament , Senior State Champion, SGFI 2024-25 and won a silver medal.

Pranjal Salve

Pranjal Salve is a promising young compound archer from India, known for her sharp focus, consistency, and rising performances on the national stage. She has been part of multiple prestigious tournaments, showcasing her talent and determination among the country’s finest archers. Pranjal has represented at various national-level championships and finished 9th in the world Championship Selection Trials 2025, proving her ability to compete among the best.
