New Delhi: Shyam Lal College, University of Delhi, successfully hosted the Inter-College Panel Discussion – “Voice of Youth – 2025”, under the aegis of Vimarsh(The Reading Club), Sarasvati IKS Centre, and IQAC. The event provided a dynamic platform for students from various colleges to exchange ideas and deliberate on contemporary themes such as data privacy, AI ethics, mental health, climate change, social media influence, education reforms, and the role of youth in politics.


Addressing the gathering, Prof. Rabi Narayan Kar, Principal, Shyam Lal College, appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to engage in dialogues that foster critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership qualities. He emphasized the importance of academic forums in shaping socially responsible youth.

Prof. Kusha Tiwari, Director, Sarasvati IKS Centre and IQAC, elaborated on the broader vision of the Vimarsh (The Reading Club), highlighting how such programs nurture intellectual curiosity, analytical reasoning, and collaborative learning. She emphasized that initiatives like these align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and contribute to holistic student development beyond academics.


Dr. Seema Guglani, Convenor of Vimarsh (The Reading Club), coordinated the event and shared that Voice of Youth was conceptualized to empower students to articulate informed perspectives on contemporary issues, thereby building confidence, collaboration, and critical awareness.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from several colleges across Delhi-NCR. Participants were given an initial one-hour team discussion session to brainstorm and refine their viewpoints collaboratively before the panel presentations. The interactive format proved highly engaging, as each panel presented their ideas with clarity and conviction before the moderators and judges. Winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates, while all participants were appreciated for their insightful contributions and spirited engagement.
