Cheonan, Korea: Shubhankar Sharma ended a rather dismal season with another missed cut despite a round of 3-under 68 at the Genesis Championship after carding a four under par round of 67 at Woo Jeong Hills. He had a 6-over 77 in the first round and that included a run of five bogeys and a double bogey from the second to the seventh.

Sharma’s second round had two bogeys and five birdies but it was not enough to keep him in for the weekend.

Mikael Lindberg carded a four under par 67 to move into a share of the lead with Nacho Elvira ahead of the final round of the Genesis Championship.

The Swede, who graduated from the HotelPlanner Tour after finishing inside the Top 20 of last year’s Road to Mallorca Rankings, carded six birdies and two bogeys to move to eight under par. The 32-year-old will go in search of his maiden DP World Tour title.

Elvira carded a two under par round of 69, with the Spaniard bidding for his third DP World Tour title and first since last year’s Soudal Open.

The pair sit two strokes ahead of a chasing pack of Haotong Li of China, Yuto Katsuragawa of Japan and the English pair of Alex Fitzpatrick and Andy Sullivan, who share third on six under par.

The Genesis Championship is the final regular event on the Race to Dubai before the DP World Tour Play-Offs, with the Top 115 players on the Race to Dubai Rankings keeping their cards for 2026 and the Top 70 available earning a place at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Earlier Sungjae Im moved into a share of the lead at the halfway stage of the Genesis Championship after carding a four under par round of 67. He shot 76 in the third round and slipped to T-39.
