New Delhi: Hosts Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, along with Kirori Mal College, Stunner Academy and Ramjas College, began their campaigns on a winning note in the 5th PSPB Baba Deep Singh Basketball Tournament (Men & Women).

The tournament was formally inaugurated by Mr. Sandeep Sarkaria, Joint Secretary of the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB), in the presence of Prof. Gurmohinder Singh, Principal of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, and Dr. Inderpreet Kaur, Director of Physical Education & Sports Sciences at the college.

In the men’s section, SGTB Khalsa College delivered a dominant performance, defeating Amity University 77-42. Rupesh Bhatii of Khalsa college was adjudged Player of the Match for his outstanding contribution.

Kirori Mal College also secured an impressive victory, overcoming Shri Ram College of Commerce 80-60. Bhavya’s all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

In the women’s category, Stunner Academy outclassed IP College with a convincing 76-40 win. Sheryl of Stunner stood out with a stellar display and was named Player of the Match.

In another fixture, Ramjas College defeated Kirori Mal College 40-28 in a competitive encounter. Veda Srivastav of Ramjas College was declared Player of the Match for her key role in the victory.

The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation and competitive spirit, setting the tone for an exciting series of matches ahead.
