New Delhi: Delhi U-23 player Yash Bhatia continued his outstanding form with another match-winning performance in the 49th All India Lala Raghubir Singh Hot Weather Prize Money Cricket Tournament. After creating a record of three consecutive centuries in the All India Laxman Das Chhabra Memorial Cricket Tournament, Yash once again impressed with the bat and carried his superb form into another major tournament.
Played at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Bal Bhavan Dwarka registered a thrilling 4-wicket victory over Delhi Cricket Hub, courtesy brilliant batting performances from Yash Bhatia and Dev Lakra.
Batting first, Delhi Cricket Hub posted a strong total of 281/8 in 40 overs. Deepak scored 68 runs, Harish Dagar contributed 58, while Noor Mohammad added 43 runs. Siyansh Vohra bowled brilliantly and picked up 3 wickets for Delhi Cricket Hub.
In reply, Bal Bhavan Dwarka chased down the target in just 33.1 overs, scoring 282/6. Delhi U-23 batter Yash Bhatia played a magnificent innings of 87 runs off 66 balls, smashing 9 fours and 5 sixes. Dev Lakra also played an explosive knock of 81 runs off 50 balls, while Yash Dhull chipped in with 39 runs.
For Bal Bhavan Dwarka, Agrim Sharma claimed 2 wickets for 52 runs and Rahul took 2 wickets for 31 runs.
Yash Bhatia was declared the “Man of the Match” for his outstanding innings. The award was presented by Mr. Naveen Chopra. Deepak from Delhi Cricket Hub received the “Fighter of the Match” award.
With consistent performances and remarkable batting displays, Yash Bhatia continues to be one of the most talked-about young cricketers in Delhi cricket this season.
The tournament will observe a rest day tomorrow, while Sonnet Club will take on Noida Wonders on May 23.
