EGM of DSA approves and adopts amended Constitution; election scheduled for 30 August 2026

New Delhi: The Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the DSA was held on 26 July 2026 at Hindi Bhawan, ITO, Delhi.

The meeting was convened to discuss and amend the Constitution of the DSA in accordance with the provisions of the NSG Act, 2025, and to bring it in line with the regulations and requirements of the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The agenda also included the appointment of a Returning Officer for the forthcoming elections.

Mr. Paramjeet Singh, Treasurer, Delhi Olympic Association, attended the meeting as the third-party observer.

Members of the House discussed the draft amended Constitution, prepared by the members of the Constitution Review Committee, article by article. Various suggestions and inputs were placed before the House and duly considered. Following detailed deliberations and with the consent of the House, the final draft was approved and adopted as the amended Constitution of the DSA.

The Ad Hoc Committee also requested the House to appoint an independent three-member panel to coordinate with the Election Panel and provide the necessary assistance during the election process. The elections are scheduled to be held on 30 August 2026, as declared at the earlier EGM held on 12 July 2026,

The House was further requested to constitute a temporary three-member Competition Committee to oversee the sporting activities of the DSA until the elected body assumes charge.

The necessary appointments and committees shall function in accordance with the decisions taken by the House and the adopted amended Constitution of the DSA.
