New Delhi, August 13: Outer Delhi Warriors registered a five-wicket win over West Delhi Lions in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Batting first, West Delhi Lions were bowled out for 178 in 19.4 overs. The Lions struggled to build partnerships and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They were reduced to 119/7 before captain Ayush Doseja and Ajay Rana put together a valuable 39-run partnership for the eighth wicket.

Doseja led the recovery with a well-made 59, while Rana provided a late boost with a quick 27 off 16 balls. Nitish Rana also played an aggressive knock of 35 off 17 balls to help the Lions post a competitive total.

For the Warriors, Shivam Sharma was the standout bowler, claiming 3/25 in four overs. Harsh Tyagi also impressed with 2/17 from his four overs.

In reply, Outer Delhi Warriors made a strong start as openers Priyansh Arya and Yajas Sharma added 49 runs for the first wicket. However, the Warriors then lost a few quick wickets and were reduced to 88/3, bringing the Lions back into the contest.

Mohit Panwar and Akshay Saini then steadied the chase and kept the scoreboard moving. Saini played an important knock of 42 off 32 balls before his dismissal caused another brief wobble in the Warriors’ innings.

With the chase under pressure, Shivam Sharma and Harsh Tyagi held their nerves in the final stages. The duo ensured there were no further setbacks and guided Outer Delhi Warriors to a comfortable victory.
