Swati Shukla will Chair Women’s Football Development Working Group of Football Delhi

Acclaimed Women Members from Corporate and Sports are part of this working group.

 

It is an exciting opportunity for me to do something concrete for the development of Women’s football in Delhi. As India is hosting FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in October 2022 and we as part of Football Delhi would like to create more opportunities for girls in football. –Swati Shukla, Executive Director, Prateek Group.

New Delhi: Football Delhi formed a working group for Women’s Football Development to further boost the landscape of Women’s football in Delhi.

Working group will be chaired by Ms Swati Shukla, Executive Director at Prateek Group. She is also active with sports industry for many years. Vice Chairperson of the working group would be Ms Mona Motwani, Director India Lead Sportradar. Other Members of the working group are Ms Vinita Bhatia, National President – Media & Communications, WICCI, Ms Rita Jairath, an acclaimed former international body builder and judge, and Ms Babita Negi, Commonwealth Games Gold medalist in Judo and businesswoman.

On her appointment, Swati Shukla Chairperson of the working group stated, “It is an exciting opportunity for me to do something concrete for the development of Women’s football in Delhi. As India is hosting FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in October 2022 and we as part of Football Delhi would like to create more opportunities for girls in football.”

Shaji Prabhakaran, President Football Delhi stated, “With the formation of Women’s Football Development working group involving these acclaimed personalities we would be able to provide further impetus to Women’s football in Delhi and the Association will be successful in increasing participation of Women’s in all aspects of football in the National Capital Region.”
