Hon’ble Member, Lokpal of India,  Smt. Archana Ramasundaram graced the Closing Ceremony of 7th All India Police Judo Cluster as Chief Guest, organized by CISF at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex

New Delhi: Host CISF athletes worked hard, prepared well and deservingly  lifted the over-all trophy with 71 medals in the 7th All India Police Judo Cluster-2022 , which concluded on Saturday here at K D Jadhav Stadium,  Indira Gandhi Sports Complex.

SSB ( 67 medals) and ITBP  ( 50 medals) got second and 3rd position respectively. Surprisingly Delhi Police won only one Bronze medal.

CISF athletes won 27 Gold, 13 Silver and 31 Bronze medals. SSB got 21 Gold, 21 Silver and 25 Bronze medals. ITBP won  21 Gold, 17 Silver and 12 Bronze medals.

A grand function was organized by CISF on the occasion of Closing Ceremony. Hon’ble Member, Lokpal of India, Smt. Archana Ramasundaram graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

  Shri Sheel Vardhan Singh, DG, CISF, Shri Manmohan Singh, Special Director IB, DsG of States and CPOs, former DsG of CISF & other CAPFs, Smt Nina Singh, ADG, CISF and other senior officers of CISF & AIPSCB were present on the occasion. 

On arrival, Hon’ble Member, Lokpal of India, Smt. Archana Ramasundaram was welcomed by Shri Sheel Vardhan Singh, DG CISF. All the guests & dignitaries were also given a warm welcome.

  Shri Sheel Vardhan Singh, DG CISF expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest, for sparing her valuable time for Closing Ceremony of the Judo Cluster. He congratulated the teams who secured overall first, second and third position during the Cluster. He appreciated the CISF sportspersons who won the medals during the Cluster. He said that the participants played with true sportsman-spirit and gave their best performance during the championship. He further added that the participants and officials will cherish the sweet memories of the  Cluster.

Hon’ble Member, Lokpal of India, Smt. Archana Ramasundaram congratulated the winners and also highlighted that it was matter of pride that more than 500 women sportspersons participated in the Cluster. She applauded the role played by CISF for organizing the esteemed Judo Cluster and congratulated to all the officers and members of the CISF who have contributed to the successful conduct of the cluster. She also said that the dedication with which all the members of the CISF family have contributed to the progress and development of the country by providing security to the sensitive and important establishments of the country in the last fifty years, is highly commendable and every citizen of this country is extremely proud of CISF. 

Hon’ble Member, Lokpal of India, Smt. Archana Ramasundaram declared the 7th AIPJC-2022 “CLOSED” . Vote of thanks was given by Organizing Secretary, Shri N G Gupta, IG (NCR Sector).

The programme concluded with display of mesmerising Clasical Dance performance by the students of Sangeet Natak Akademi, who came from different parts of the country including a woman dancer from Russia.
