New Delhi: The incredible women’s cricket team of India strike GOLD for the first time ever, clinching a thrilling 19 runs victory against Sri Lanka in 19th Asian Games at Hangzhou on Monday.

This is India’s second gold medal of the day so far.

In the gold medal match Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and elected to bat first.

Indian team scored 116 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply Srilanka scored 97 runs for 8 wickets.

Smriti Mandhata 46 and Jemimah Rodrigues 42 shines with bat and Titas Sadhu 3 for 6 and  Rajeshwari Gayakwad 2 for 20 were stars for the winners.
