New Delhi: The recently concluded second edition of the Savera ‘Run For Good’ event, which took place on Sunday, March 17 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, saw a successful collaboration between the city’s very own Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, the Delhi Capitals, and Central Park, who were the title sponsors for the event.

This collaboration exemplified Delhi Capitals’ commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, embodying the spirit of the city of Delhi. By actively participating in events like the Savera ‘Run For Good’, the IPL franchise demonstrated their dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. Their involvement not only raised awareness about important social issues but also fostered a sense of unity and compassion among the people of Delhi.

Reflecting on the event, Sukhvinder Singh, Interim CEO of Delhi Capitals, shared, “As an integral part of Delhi’s vibrant fabric, the Delhi Capitals proudly partnered with the Savera Association for the ‘Run For Good’ event. Our commitment went beyond cricket to uplift our community, aiming to inspire unity, compassion, and positive change, echoing our city’s spirit.”

Organized by Artkonnect in collaboration with the Savera Association, this event aimed to make a lasting positive impact. Proceeds raised from the run directly benefited these children, who also ran alongside the participants, symbolizing inclusion and humanity.

Dr Minu Bakshi, Honorary Chairperson of Savera Association said, “At Savera Association, we’re committed to nurturing underprivileged children, ensuring their health, education, and well-being. Run For Good breaks barriers, providing healthcare access, hope, and empowerment to our children.”
Mr. Anand Kanwar, Director & Founder of Artkonnect Management commented, “We see ‘Run For Good’ as more than just a run; it’s a celebration of a healthy lifestyle. Our aim is to make it India’s premier running carnival, offering an unforgettable experience filled with joy, laughter, and the spirit of giving back.”

In addition to the main runs – the 3K Savera Inclusivity Run, 5K Family run, and 10K timed run – there were ample entertainment and activities for all attendees. Top finishers in the 10K run received prestigious awards, including gift vouchers from Puma Nitro and gadgets from Gizmore.

Following the run, participants enjoyed a carnival-like atmosphere at the friends and family area, complete with a food court, live music, and prize ceremonies. The Delhi Capitals fan zone was also present, offering fans a chance to engage in games and quizzes.
