New Delhi: Ayodhya warriors won the first match of the 2nd Matri Swar T20 tournament.They defeated Delhi Media XI by 42 runs at the NBA cricket ground in Burari.

World Championship bronze medal winner Gaurav Bidhuri and Mahant Varun Sharma of Shri Marghat Wale Hanuman Mandir gave away the awards to the winning side.

After the match, Gaurav congratulated the teams and said, “PM Modi initiated Fit India movement and asked people to come forward and stay fit. Everyone should play such sporting events. The Matri Swar T20 tournament is following what our PM has suggested. Everyone of every age should play and stay fit.”

 

Earlier, Delhi Media XI captain Chetan Sharma after winning the toss, decided to field first. Ayodhya Warriors scored 180/7 in 20 overs. Ayodhya XI captain Sandep Tyagi scored brilliant 30 runs off 13 balls.

Delhi Media tean managed to score 138/7 in 20 overs. Anup Dev scored 51 runs for Media team but the other batters failed to give him support. Amit Chaudhary also scored 41 runs.57-year-old GS Harry bowled superbly.

Dev Dutt, coach of the Indian Deaf Cricket Team (DCCI) was also present on the occasion.
