A Trophy launch function was organized to announce the details of the tournament. Former International Cricketer Parwinder Awana and Dronacharya awardee Ms. Sunita Sharma were present as special guests. Rishabh belongs to a family of wrestlers and his father, Guru Ashok Vashisth, told journalists that in the beginning Rishabh had participated in the wrestling competitions also but he fell in love with cricket and now he is trying to promote cricket to provide a platform to the upcoming cricketers.

New Delhi: A former Delhi State cricketer Rishabh Vashisth is now in the business of promoting sports. He has founded RV Sports and Adventures, which is organizing ’All India RV SportsT20 Cricket Tournament Season-1’at Delhi’s St. Stephens Ground. A total of 16 teams from Delhi NCR and other cities are taking part in this league-cum -knock-out tournament.

Rishabh belongs to a family of wrestlers and his father, Guru Ashok Vashisth, told journalists that in the beginning Rishabh had participated in the wrestling competitions also but he fell in love with cricket and now he is trying to promote cricket to provide a platform to the upcoming cricketers.

Rishabh said,” Our aim is to give a platform to local talent so that they get the exposure they deserve. This tournament will be played in Round Robin format with 4 teams in each group. Winners of each group will play the Semifinals and two winners will play the Final.”

“The winning team will be given a huge trophy and prize money of Rs. 2, 21, 000. Runners Up team will get Rs. 1, 11, 000. Besides that many other prizes such as Man of the Match Award, Most sixes in a Match Award, Man of the Tournament Award, Best Batsman of the Tournament Award, Best Bowler of the Tournament Award and Best Fielder of the Tournament Award,  will be given,” He added.

Rishabh gave special thanks to the sponsors,” Various sponsors have come forward to help our tournaments such as KEI cables, Nizamiya Educational Group, Stryder Cycles and Green Brrew. We are grateful for them ”

Parwinder  Awana, a former India fast bowler,  said,” I am happy that Rishabh is organizing this tournament and will be ready to give all sorts of help and guidance to the cricketers.” Awana while remembering his playing days, said,” Journalists  Rakesh Thapliyal ji and Vijay Bhai are sitting here and both of them have supported me as a player. Players need the support of journalists. I am sure that they will support this tournament also.”

During the Trophy launch and press conference, Several sports journalists, Rajender Sajwan, Vijay Kumar, Saurabh Aggarwal, Rajesh Rai and Mukesh Shukla were also present.

Ms. Sunita Sharma, Dronacharya Award winner Coach Said, “ I can give coaching to the cricketers but I can’t speak much, I will only say that Rishabh will organize a good cricket tournament and my blessings are with him.”
