Winners Noida Wonders team with Sports Sun Trophy.

Mohan Nagar: On a sunny Sunday Noida Wonders cricket team created wonders right from selecting the best playing eleven and winning toss to suppressing opponent batsmen and bowlers throughout the final match and won 7th All India Shri Rajpati Mishra memorial cricket tournament for Sport Sun Trophy.

In the final Noida Wonders defeated Sahgal Cricket Club by 5 wickets at Mohan Meakin  ground. Noida Wonders All-rounder Boby Yadav declared ‘Player of the match’ for his fine performance with bat and bowl. Boby first took 3 wickets for 27 runs and then scored not out 38 runs. Jubilant coach of  Noida Wonders Phoolchand Sharma praised his players for the brilliant performance throughout the tournament and said, our team have won all their matches in the tournament.

Score:

Sahgal Cricket Club: 143/10 in 38.4 overs (Shivam Chaudhary 33, Varun Sood 25 Not Out, Shivam Singh 24, Boby Yadav 3/27, Paddy Yadav 3/28, Vivek Dhami 2/26).

Noida Wonders: 145/5 in 30.5 overs ( Honey 44, Boby Yadav 38 Not Out, Karan Bhidhuri 34, Shivam, Vishal, Varun, Faizan and Aryan took one wicket each).

During the prize distribution ceremony huge numbers of former cricketers, past and present office bearers of DDCA and officials of cricket clubs along with a former Olympian Wrestler were present. They all praised  host Mishra Sports Club for organizing the tournament in a great cricketing atmosphere.

Sunil Chugh, Shyam Sharma, Vinod Tihara, Rakesh Mahajan, Pawan Kumar, Ajay Kumar Sirohi, Rohtas Dahiya, Rajan Seth, Neeraj Gautam, Manoj Makar, Virendra Vinayak, Naresh Kumar, Mohan Chaturvedi, Ramesh Sachdeva, Padam Chauhan, Devi Dutt, Tilak Raj Sharma,  TV Subramaniam,  etc. were present to encourage the young cricketers. They were very well looked after by Vijay Bahadur Mishra and Anand Mishra.
