Jubilant PGDAV College’s Football team with Champions Trophy. 

IGIPESS and St. Stephen’s College got 3rd and 4th place respectively

New Delhi: PGDAV College defeated Sri Venkateswara College 1-0 in the final of the Delhi University Inter College Men’s Football Championship 2025-26 to win the title second time in a row. Vikas Verma, captain of the team scored the all important lone goal of the match.

Principal of PGDAV College, Prof. Darvinder Kumar was delighted and congratulated the students and department of Physical Education for the huge success.

In league matches PGDAV beat Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar college 3-1 and Hansraj College 3-0.

In the semi finals PGDAV College defeated St. Stephan’s College 5-0. Anmol, Rudransh, Nishant Shah, Karki played well in all the matches and helped PGDAV College in retaining the Football Inter College 2025-26 Crown.

IGIPESS got third place as they beat St. Stephen’s College 2-0 in the clash of losing semifinalists.

The tournament was huge success with 44 colleges participated in the tournament.Teams thanked and praised Dr. Manoj Rathi from DCAC for organizing the Football Championship inspite of all the odds, challenges and roadblocks.

Recently PGDAV- Men Judo team was also became  Champions of Delhi University Judo Competition. Sahil won consecutive third Gold medal in 66 kg category.

Department of Physical Education of PGDAV College is working very hard to uplift the sports standard of the college and University of Delhi.
