NEW DELHI: Sterling Swinger registered four wins in a row against Sudhir Power on Day-11 to book a quarter-final slot in the 5^th Edition of the Delhi Golf Club Members League – powered by RADICO’.  The League, the first of its kind is being played at the historic Delhi Golf Club here today.

In the third match of the day, between Sudhir Power and Sterling Swingers, the first game was tied.  Sterling Swingers registered a win in the second game. The third game too ended in a tie but thereafter, it was Sterling Swingers all the way with four wins in as many games.  This earned Sterling Swingers 12 crucial points while Sudhir Power could muster only 2 points.

In the opening match of the day between The Pioneers and The A-Team, The Pioneers won the first game but The A-Team settled scores with a win in the second.  The third game was tied. The A-Team went on the win the fourth game but The Pioneers won the fifth. Thereafter it was The A-Team all along with wins on the sixth and seventh.  The A-Team tallied 9 points while The Pioneers had to contend with 5 points for their effort.

In the second match of the day between Christies Golf and Tee Birds, Tee Birds drew first blood with a win in the opening game. Christies recovered with wins in the second and third games.  Tee Birds pulled one back with a win in the fourth game but Christies stepped on the gas to reel off a hat-trick of wins in the next three games to tally 10 points as against Tee Birds’ tally of 4 points.

The fourth game of the day between SwingKKings and Victorious Choice began with SwingKKings registering a hat-trick of wins in the first three games.  Victorious Choice broke the ice with a win in the fourth game but SwingKKings came back to win the fifth.  Victorious Choice won the sixth game but SwingKKings finished on a high with a win in the seventh game adding 10 points to their kitty.  Victorious Choice had to settle for 4 points.

In the final match of the day between Ardee Masters and Birdie Machine, Ardee Masters won the first three games.  The fourth was tied  but Ardee Masters came back to win the fifth and sixth games.  A win in the seventh game was but a consolation prize for Birdie Machine.  Ardee Masters pocketed 13 points as against Birdie Machine who could manage only 3 points for their effort. This exceptional performance by Ardee Masters puts them back into contention for a spot in the quarter-finals.
