New Delhi: Delhi Capitals again lost an IPL match at Arun Jaitley Stadium. On Sunday night Gujarat Titans defeated hosts Delhi with a huge margin of 10 wickets. The two openers Sai Sudarshan (108 not out in 61 balls) and Shubman Gill ( 93 not out in 53 balls) played brilliant innings for Gujarat Titans.

Gujarat Titans became the first team to seal a spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs after this commanding Victory. The massive win also paved the way for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) to secure their places in the playoffs.

Delhi Capitals, lost the toss and asked to bat first, scored 199 for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Gujarat Titans won the match by scoring 205 runs in 19 overs without loss.

Sai Sudarshan  and Shubman Gill crossed 600 runs in this season during the course of the innings, occupying the top two spots. With the playoffs in the bag, and Buttler set to leave soon, they would now try and get some of the other batters a go in the next couple of games. The DC bowlers were hapless, with all of them being hit at some point of the game or other by the prolific opening pair. Natarajan suffered the most, going for 49 off his 3 overs.

DC on the other hand have their work cut out – they still have their fate in their own hands, with two games to go, they will need to win both to ensure the last remaining spot, a defeat to MI will knock them out while a win against MI will not assure them of a qualification should they loose their final game and Mumbai win their last. LSG too still remain in contention, though their chances are the weakest among the three remaining teams.

Earlier, for Delhi Capitals KL Rahul (112 not out) scored fine unbeaten century and built consistent partnerships with Abishek Porel (30), Axar Patel (25) and Tristan Stubbs (21not out).
