New Delhi: Sujan beat Sona in sujan Northern India Polo Championship (10 Goal). This prestigious Championship of Delhi Spring Polo Season started today with three teams participating (Sona, Sujan and Jindal Panther). Each team will play each other and the best two teams will play finals on Sunday, 21 Mar 2021 at 1600 hrs at Jaipur Polo Ground, New Delhi.

Opening league match of the championship was played today at Jindal Polo Ground, Nodia between Sona and Sujan in which Sujan beat Sona by 8 goals to 7. Tomas F Llorente converted a 30 yard penalty as the opening goal for Sujan while Daniel Otamendi, Sidhant Sharma and Sunjay Kapur scored one goal each for Sona. In the 2nd chukker Siddhant Sharma scored one goal for Sona while Sujan could not score any goal. In the 3rd chukker Tomas Llorente and Col Ravi Rathore scored one goal each for Sujan whereas Sona could not score any goal. 4th chukker was in favour of Sujan in which they scored 3 goals through one goal each from Tomas F Llorente, Col Ravi Rathore and Angad Kalaan while for Sona Siddhant Sharma scored one goal. In the 5th chukker Siddhant Sharma scored 2 goals for Sona whereas Agnad Kalaan scored a goal for Sujan. The score was tied at 7 all in stipulated five chukker and the match entered in sudden death chukker in which Col Ravi Rathore scored a goal for Sujan and won the first league match. Scorers for Sujan were – Col Ravi Rathore (3), Tomas F Llorente (3), Angad Kalaan (2). Scorers for Sona were – Siddhant Sharma (5), Daniel Otamendi (1), Sujnay Kapur (1). Teams were –
