Eklavya Jagal is a student of XIth Grade Amity International School Noida

New Delhi: Eklavya Jagal, a student of XIth Grade Amity International School Noida, won a Gold Medal in 300 meters short track speed ice skating under -17 Age group at the 4th Khelo India Winter Games 2024 held at Ladakh.

Expressing her extreme pleasure on this occasion, Dr. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson Amity International Schools, averred, “Amity students have always performed brilliantly at various prestigious national and international competitions, and we are extremely proud of Eklavya’s achievement. Holistic development of the students is a major focus area at Amity and they are always guided, motivated and encouraged to showcase their outstanding skills and talent on global platforms.”

Expressing his gratitude towards his teachers, Eklavya Jagal, said, “The guidance and encouragement from teachers and parents have been the major guiding force which constantly motivated me to work hard towards my goal. I look forward to represent India in the Winter Olympic Games to be held in Italy 2026, hope to give my best performance and make my country proud.”

Eklavya will be representing India at the ISU Junior World Cup Short Track Speed Skating scheduled to be held from Feb 17 – Feb 18, 2024, at Heerenveen /Netherlands. He will also be participating in the ISU World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships, scheduled to be held from Feb 22 – Feb 25 2024, at Gdansk/Poland.
