4th Edition of SFA (Sports For All) Championship Hyderabad 2022 kick started on 8th October at Gachibowli Sports Complex, L.B. Stadium, KVBR Stadium and Indira Park.

Hyderabad: India’s leading digital and on-ground multi-sports platform, Sports For All (SFA), has kick started the 4th edition of SFA Championship Hyderabad 2022 – a one of its kind school sporting championship, from the 8th – 22nd October 2022. Hosted after two years of hiatus, across 4 renowned locations, the Gachibowli Sports Complex, L.B. Stadium (Tennis), KVBR Stadium (Badminton) and Indira Park (Skating) within the city, the championship is witnessing inspiring participation of 640 schools from Hyderabad.

The Sports Authority of Telangana State and the Government of Telangana are committed to build a vibrant sporting culture among school children and have always welcomed, encouraged and supported SFA’s vision over the years. The Government of Telangana is focused on their endeavor to create a dynamic and productive sporting environment for the children, thereby accelerating development of not only practical but also interpersonal skills in today’s youth.

Sports for All, along with the Government of Telangana believes in the philosophy of empowering and encouraging children to participate in sports from the grassroot level. Together they have tirelessly strived in bringing about a change in perspective with regards to the significance of sports and how it fosters an all-round development of children.

With a participation of over 19,000 across 20 challenging sports, the SFA Championship Hyderabad 2022, will be one of the biggest school sporting celebrations with regards to the infrastructure and magnitude of the championship. Students from the age group of 3-18 years will be encouraged to take up diverse sports from Basketball, Football, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Throwball, Volleyball, Archery, Athletics to Badminton, Chess, Shooting, Skating, Table Tennis, Swimming, Tennis, Yogasana, Karate and Taekwondo.

To keep up the momentum created and further encourage participation for the upcoming competitions, SFA Championship Hyderabad 2022 rewards the top 3 schools on the leaderboard with the prize money of Rs.1,00,000, Rs.50,000 and Rs.25,000 respectively. Additionally, to drive diverse participation, 1 boy and girl with maximum gold medals that will be won across various sports will be awarded Rs.25,000 and school with the highest participation will be awarded Rs.50,000.
