New Delhi: A well known sports journalist and Khel Today’s Editor-in-Chief Shri Rakesh Thapliyal has been elected unopposed as President of Delhi Journalists Association(DJA) here on Monday.

The Delhi Journalists Association (DJA) is affiliated to the National Union of Journalists (India). After the last date of nomination, Returning Officer Shri Ashok Kinker announced the elections result on Monday. All the candidates were elected unopposed. The elections were held at the office of Delhi Journalists Association at 7, Jantar Mantar Road, 2nd Floor, New Delhi 110001, which is also the headquarters of National Union of Journalists (India).

Another sports journalist Shri Ranvir Singh also elected unopposed as Vice President.Shri Pramod Kumar Singh (Senior Journalist, Prasar Bharati) has been elected unopposed as General Secretary in the Delhi Journalists Association (DJA) elections 2024-26. Shri Naresh Gupta, (Former Editor, Rashtriya Samachar)  elected as Treasurer.

Shri Ras Bihari, President, National Union of Journalists (India) congratulated all the elected journalists and expressed hope that DJA will work more rapidly for the upliftment of mediapersons in Delhi.
