Vung Tau, Vietnam: Indian Under-23 Senior Wrestling Teams is making the nation proud with their outstanding performance at the U-23 Senior Asian Wrestling Championship, currently underway in Vung Tau (Vietnam).

In a remarkable display of skill and determination, the Indian Women’s Wrestling Team has clinched the Champions Trophy, securing medals in all 10 weight categories– 4 Gold,  5 Silver, and 1 Bronze. The medal winners are as follows:

Gold Medal

50 Kg. Priyanshi Prajapat

55 Kg. Reena

68 Kg. Shrishti

76 Kg. Priya

Silver Medal

57 Kg. Neha Sharma

59kg. Tanvi

62 Kg. Pragati

65 Kg. Siksha

72 Kg. Jyoti Berwal

Bronze Medal

53 Kg. Hinaben Khalifa

In Greco-Roman Wrestling, Sumit brought glory to India by winning a Gold Medal in the 63 kg category. Additionally, Nitesh secured a Bronze Medal in the 97 kg weight category, along with one more bronze medalist secured by Ankit Gulia in the 72 Kg.

The Men’s Free Style events are currently in progress. Notably, Vicky, competing in the 97 kg Free Style category, has already bagged a Gold Medal, adding to India’s growing medal tally.

India is expected to win more medals in the remaining bouts scheduled for Saturday.
