New Delhi:  The management of Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (IGIPESS), University of Delhi, is very much involve in providing Fitness & good health through Yoga to their students and to the Community.

This is the reason that his summer IGIPESS has organized a “ONE MONTH YOGA CAMP FOR COMMUNITY”,  which is running from 21st May to 21st June, with a view to create awareness among the students and people of the community for developing sound and healthy life style through participation in this yoga camp.

 

 

The unique part of this Yoga camp is Live streaming of the program on You-Tube and facility of online joining of participants from all over the country. A total of 277 participants have registered for the program and nearly 120+ are attending the program in physical mode in Gymnasium Hall of the Institute.

The inauguration of the Yoga Camp was held on 21st May, 2022 by Hon’ble Shri Surender Jaglan, Chairman, Governing Body, IGIPESS. The Guest of Honor of the program was Hon’ble Shri Surender Kumar, Treasurer, Governing Body, IGIPESS.
Prof. Sandeep Tiwari, Principal (Officiating), welcomed the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor.

The above programme is being conducted by the faculty member namely Prof. J.P. Sharma (Coordinator) and Prof. Taraknath Pramanik (Co-coordinator) under the overall supervision of Prof. Sandeep Tiwari, Principal (officiating).


The Yoga program is continuing every day from 7.00 AM to 8.45 AM in which the community people are taught various ASANAS and PRANAYAM for attaining the sound health. It was on 28th May, 2022, the blessings of Prof. Balaram Pani , Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi who graced the function with his presence as a Chief Guest and stressed upon attaining healthy life style through the practice of yoga.
The Yoga camp will conclude on 21st June, 2022 on the occasion of 8th International Day of Yoga.
