4th Baba Deep Singh Hockey and Basketball Tournament

New Delhi: Shyam Lal College defeated Hansraj College 4–0 in the opening match of men’s hockey tournament of 4th Baba Deep Singh Hockey and Basketball tournament organized by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College.


The Tournament was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Dhyanchand Awardee and former Hockey Olympian Mr. Ashok Diwan and Professor Gurmohinder Singh, Principal SGTB Khalsa College.

Atul Chaudhary, Priyanshu Rawat, Pratyush Singh Jaggi and Akash scored one goal each for Shyam Lal College. The player of the match awarded to Shyam Lal College player Pratyush Singh Jaggi.

In the women’s category, Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences defeated Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College 1-0. Goal for the winning team was scored by Aanchal and the Player of the Match Award was also received by Aanchal.
