New Delhi: Delhi girls dominate in trap shooting, win four medals, Aadya Tripathi’s brilliant performance

Delhi girls continue to perform brilliantly in the 65th National Shooting Championship. Delhi’s female shooters won three medals in the ongoing shooting competition at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range of the capital, in addition to this, Aadya Tripathi and Kabir Sharma won bronze medal in the trap mix junior event. Aadya Tripathi has won total four medals so far in this competition, including a bronze medal in the individual junior women’s trap event.

Indian junior shooting team coach and secretary of Delhi State Rifle Association, Rajiv Sharma said that this time the shooters of Delhi are performing better in the national shooting competition. He said that Delhi’s Aadya Tripathi won the bronze medal with a score of 16 points in the individual junior women’s Trap event final, Neela Rajaa Baalu of Tamil Nadu won the silver medal with 24 points and Rajasthan’s Manvi Soni had to satisfy the silver medal with a score of 23 points in a tough match. Aadya Tripathi was leading in the qualification round of this event with a score of 115 points.

In Trap women’s team event, Delhi’s team of Kirti Gupta, Aadya Tripathi and Aashima Khanna won the gold medal with a score of 328, Madhya Pradesh’s team of Manisha Keer, Pragati Dubey and Neeru won the silver medal with a score of 326. The team of Kiran, Suhanya Singh and Bhavna Chowdhary from Haryana won the bronze medal with a score of 320.

In the Trap junior women’s team event, Delhi’s team of Aadya Tripathi, Divya Singh and Aashima Khanna had to settle for silver despite a hard-fought match with a good score of 319, while Haryana’s team of Vidhi Singh, Aashima Ahlawat and Suhanya Singh won the gold medal with a score of 320, while Tamil Nadu’s Nilaa Rajaa Baalu, Prameya Srisudhan and Antara R.S. won the bronze medal with 292 points.

In the Trap Mix junior event, Delhi’s team of Aadya Tripathi and Kabir Sharma won the bronze medal, Rajasthan’s team of Manvi Soni and Vivaan Kapoor won the gold medal, Preeti Rajak and Divyansh Singh Tanwar of Madhya Pradesh won the silver, while Haryana’s Vidhi Singh and Daksh Singh won the bronze medal jointly with the Delhi team.
