SEASON 2 OF DELHI GOLF CLUB GOLDEN MEMBERS LEAGUE TEES OFF ON TUESDAY

New Delhi: The prestigious Delhi Golf Club announced the second edition of the Delhi Golf Club Golden Members League – the only golf League in India staged for those over 70 years of age.

Season 2 of the ground breaking Delhi Golf Club Golden Members League will be staged at the historic Delhi Golf Club’s Peacock course from March 3 till March 15, 2026.

The Delhi Golf Club Golden Members League, which is being played in two stages, has 12 teams with 17 members in each team.

A brainchild of the Delhi Golf Club, the Delhi Golf Club Golden Members League is being hosted with an objective of promoting the sport amongst the senior members of one of the most prestigious golf clubs in India.

In the first stage of the League, all the players in the field will compete during the 3 days of the Round Robin stage. Thereafter, from each team, 11 best individual stableford points will be counted to determine the Team Total for the day.

The Team scores of all the 12 Teams will be totaled for the 3 days of Round Robin play and the top 4 teams, with the best cumulative scores, will make it to the Semi Finals which will be played on the exciting Four Ball Better Ball Matchplay format.

The Event will thus see two different strategies of golf in play, with the stableford scoring requiring percentage play, while the knockout stages of the event will see some attacking golf,which the Matchplay format promotes.

“The Seniors of the Delhi Golf Club, have done a tremendous job to nurture and develop this unique institution which has given our country 15 Arjuna Awardees. This is our way of saying Thank You” said Mr. Raj Khosla, the President of DGC in a statement.

“We are truly pleased to organise this special event for our senior members. We’ve made every effort to create engaging formats for them to enjoy, while also recognising and celebrating their invaluable contributions to the club over the years,” said Mr. Vikram Seth, Captain of Delhi Golf Club.

“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response with 204 players expected to tee off — a truly encouraging turnout,” said Col. Mohit Nasa (Retd), Chairman of the Tournament Committee at DGC.

The Delhi Golf Club Golden Members League is being managed by Digraj Golf Inc and has been supported by sponsors COAL, GOLF PLUS MAGAZINE, SURYAA and SHIVA.
