Delhi Golf Club Golden Members’ League 2026 – DAY1

New Delhi: The second edition of the Delhi Golf Club Golden Members’ League 2026 commenced today at the historic Delhi Golf Club, bringing together twelve distinguished teams in a celebration of competitive spirit, camaraderie and enduring passion for the game.

Designed exclusively for golfers above 70 years of age, the unique league has two stages with different formats. In the first day of the round robin stage, played in the stableford format, where the 11 best individual stableford scores of the team members contribute towards their team totals, Team Golden Bullets took a lead with a total of 176 points. Following them hot on their heels were teams Delhi’s Evergreen and Warriors Fusion with similar totals of 173 points.

With the other three teams close behind, the Team Championship which will see the top 4 teams make it to the Knock Out stage looks set for some exciting golf ahead.

Individual Highlights

In the men’s category, the competition was fiercely contested, with five players sharing the top spot at 20 Stableford points each: Guljit Kochar, Vijay Kumar Topa, S.K. Nahar, Maj. D.N. Dass and Madhu Misra.

Amongst the ladies’ Pamela Bhagat delivered the standout performance of the day with 19 Stableford points.

The Golden Members’ League continues to exemplify that competitive golf transcends age, showcasing remarkable skill, sportsmanship and resilience from some of the Club’s most experienced golfers.
