New Delhi: Lalit Yadav’s explosive century guides Sporting Club to victory in the 49th All India Lala Raghubir Singh Hot Weather Prize Money Cricket Tournament played at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Sporting Club registered a convincing 6-wicket victory over Tilak Nagar Colts.

Batting first, Tilak Nagar Colts were bowled out for 271 runs in 36.3 overs. Abhishek Goswami played a brilliant knock of 112 runs off just 65 balls, smashing 10 fours and 8 sixes. Aryan Arora contributed 45 runs, while Gaurav Sabharwal added 33 runs. For Sporting Club, Mohammad Arbaaz impressed with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for 45 runs.

Chasing the target, Sporting Club achieved victory in just 28.1 overs, scoring 273/4. Goa Ranji Trophy player Lalit Yadav starred with a blistering innings of 145 runs off only 75 balls, including 10 fours and 13 sixes. He also contributed with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 33 runs. Shivam Gupta remained unbeaten on 43, while Ankit Kumar scored 39 runs to support the chase.

For his outstanding all-round performance, Lalit Yadav was awarded the Man of the Match award by Dr. Vijay Dutta, Principal of Modern School, Barakhamba Road. Abhishek Goswami received the Fighter of the Match award for his brilliant century.8
