New Delhi: Virendra Sachdeva, General Secretary of the Archery Association of India, was elected as an Executive Board Member of World Archery Asia during the 2025 World Archery Asia Congress held in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Shri Virendra Sachdeva is also the President of Delhi BJP.

What makes Shri Virendra Sachdeva’s election special is that he was elected with the highest number of votes to the Executive Board of World Archery Asia.

Along with Shri Virendra Sachdeva, five other Indians were elected to various positions in World Archery Asia.

In A statement Sachdeva said, “This honour is not mine alone, it reflects India’s growing strength in global sports governance, the hard work and excellence of our archers, the dedication of our coaches, and the transparency and integrity of our sports administration.”

He further said, “Alongside me, five other Indian representatives have been elected to key committees of World Archery Asia, underscoring that India is now emerging as a strong voice and leader in shaping the future of global archery. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all members of the archery fraternity, my colleagues, and the sporting community for their trust and confidence.This responsibility inspires me to continue working with greater dedication to take Indian archery to new heights.
