New Delhi:  Akashvani Delhi, in its commitment to creating awareness about India’s G-20 presidency, organized an exciting G-20 Run on September 3rd. The run commenced from the iconic Akashvani Broadcasting House, journeyed through Connaught Place inner circle, and concluded back at the Akashvani Delhi Campus.

Hockey legends Ashok Kumar, the son of Major Dhyan Chand, Ashok Diwan and R S Chauhan had the honor of flagging off the event. The G-20 Run witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing various colleges, institutions, and a vast number of dedicated Akashvani listeners.

The event celebrated the fastest runners with special felicitation.

The spirited event featured the Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB) HQ Delhi band, whose lively music boosted the morale and motivation of the runners.

Participants donned T-shirts adorned with the G-20 and Akashvani logos, underlining the significance of the occasion.

Remarkably, the initiative garnered significant female participation, reflecting inclusivity and diversity.

A staggering total of nearly 600 participants actively engaged in the run. In a gesture of appreciation, the SSB band members were presented with souvenirs in the form of radios set and bags.

The event was meticulously coordinated and overseen by Akashvani’s Programme Head, Manohar Singh Rawat and Akashvani Delhi G20 Program coordinator Pramod Kumar.

Akashvani Delhi has been actively promoting awareness about the G-20 summit since July 21st, with nearly 30 programs reaching out directly to approximately 50 lakh individuals, in addition to various social media initiatives.

This initiative is part of a broader nationwide effort, as all Akashvani radio stations across the country are actively engaged in similar programs, collectively reaching 90 percent of the Indian population.

Akashvani Delhi’s G-20 Run and accompanying awareness programs exemplify the organization’s dedication to promoting India’s important role in the G-20 presidency, fostering unity, and celebrating diversity among its citizens.
