LSR ANNUAL RUN- 2023

New Delhi: The Department of Physical Education, Lady Shri Ram College For Women organized the annual run on Tuesday, beginning from the LSR Cafe and finishing at the Volleyball court of the college.
This year the college organized the run to spread awareness and ignite sensitivity towards the cause of ‘climate change’

The race was flagged off by our chief guest Vasant K. Sabharwal ,ms. bani singh , guest of honour with the principal of LSR Dr. Suman Sharma and dr. meenakshi pahuja, Head of Physical Education department .Dr. Vasant is the Director, Center of Pastoralism, he has acquired PhD in environmental sociology from Yale University, and an MSc in Wildlife Biology. He has authored several books and articles and directed a series of documentary films on the environment. He is an avid trekker and cyclist.Ms. Bani former sports president of LSR and all india university tennis medalist.

Participants gathered in large numbers with great enthusiasm covering a distance of 3 kms.

The highlights of the event was to see participants interest and enthusiast to be pasr of creating awareness for the cause

The run was not all about competing, it was more about spreading awareness on the cause and encourage students for fitness. Overall the event was a grand success.

The second position was bagged by Vaishnavi Singh BAP student

Third position was secured by Akriti Maurya a Psychology student
