New Delhi: Middle-order batsman  Ajinkya Rahane will lead India in the first Test match against New Zealand in the absence of regular captain Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli will join the squad for the second Test and will lead the team. The two Test matches will be played at Kanpur and Mumbai.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked the squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against New Zealand.
