Majhi Mumbai clinched victory by 37 runs against Srinagar ke Veer

Mumbai: Majhi Mumbai, the winning powerhouse team in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), made an electrifying debut in the inaugural match against Srinagar Ke Veer, showcasing the brilliance of the streets in the grandeur of the stadium.

In a thrilling encounter held at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane, Majhi Mumbai showcased their prowess on the field, delivering a stellar performance. The match witnessed some extraordinary moments, with Man of the Match, Captain Yogesh Penkar, leading charge and embodying energy of tennis ball cricket with first-half century of the league. In addition to that, Vijay Pawle’s sensational catch of the match further underscored the team’s fielding prowess and contributed to their triumphant debut.

In the thrilling clash between Srinagar Ke Veer and Majhi Mumbai, Yogesh Penkar’s exceptional batting prowess shone through with four fours and five sixes. An electrifying display by the players propelled Majhi Mumbai to the summit, posting a formidable total of 140 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their inaugural innings. The team’s unified approach, combined with stellar performances, earned them a remarkable 10 challenge runs in their debut match, signalling a promising start to their campaign. In addition, Basharat Hussain Wani showcased his bowling prowess by scalping three crucial wickets, tightening the grip on the opposition’s innings. His skilful bowling performance played a pivotal role in restricting Srinagar Ke Veer’s run chase and further bolstered Majhi Mumbai’s dominance on the field.
