New Delhi. Deadly bowling by Ankit (4/15) helped St. Stephen’s College beat Shyam Lal College by 78 runs in the first Swami Dayanand Saraswati Day-Night T20 Cricket Tournament.

Batting first, after winning the toss, Stephen’s College scored 161 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs with the help of Shivpreet 35, Paras 26 and Hiteshwar 21 not out at PGDAV College ground. Aditya Chaudhary took 3 wickets and Rohit Sharma took 2 wickets. In reply, Shyam Lal College team was dismissed for 83 runs in 11.3 overs. Ankit took 4 and Ishan Khan took 2 wickets.

Former Delhi Ranji cricketer Rajat Bhatia was guest of honour at the toss and Satya Prakash, SHO Lajpat Nagar and V S Jaggi, Associate Professor (Sports), Shyam Lal College gave away the Man Of the Match award to Ankit of St.Stephen’s College.
