New Delhi: Brilliant century by Ankit Pratap Singh and deadly bowling by Suryakant Chauhan helped Delhi Capitals beat Friends cricket club by 71 runs in the 2nd NC Bakshi Memorial T20 Cup .

In this first encounter of Pool D, Friends CC won the toss and elected to field first.

Batting first Delhi Capitals scored 208 for 4 wickets in 20 overs, backed by a flamboyant century by Ankit Pratap Singh (102 runs in 53 balls) and Aman Janwal’s 64 runs. Kabir Kohli took 2 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs for Friends CC. In reply, Friends CC could manage 137 runs all out in 18.5 overs.

 

Suryakant Chauhan took 5 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs, and Agrim Sharma took 4 wickets for 27 runs in 3.5 overs for Delhi Capitals, leading their team to win by 71 runs.

Ankit Pratap Singh was adjudged as the Kimati Player of the Match for his quick fire century while Kabir Kohli was the ABSS Sports Fighter of the Match. Aman Janwal won the Zee News Delhi NCR Most Active Player of the Match.
