 New Delhi: Bhair Gaon Cricket Club defeated Pahad Boys Veteran Club by 57 runs to win the title of 6th Devbhoomi Sports Mahakauthig T20 Cricket Tournament.

In the thrilling final played at Jamia Millia Nawab Pataudi Stadium ground, the winning team gave a strong performance with bat and ball and won the tournament of 64 teams with an easy victory.

Bhair Gaon Club scored a big score of 199 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. Chasing 200 to win, Pahad Boys were all out for 142 in 19.4 overs. Player of the match Subhash Bhandari played a brilliant inning of 86 runs and took two wickets.

The winning amount of one lakh 21 thousand was given to the winner Bhair Gaon Club by Mukesh Khantwal of Lore Herbal Bascage Pvt. Ltd.

The prize money of Rs 75 thousand was given to the runner-up Pahad Boys team by Pawan Kumar Maithani, General Secretary of Garhwal Hitaishini Sabha.

The trophies of the winning and runner-up teams were presented by Mahavir Singh Rana, President of Mata Parvati Devi Charitable Trust. Players and guests appreciated the tireless efforts of organizing committee members Arjun Singh Kandari and Anil Rauthan. Prominent social worker Narendra Ladwal started the final match by lighting the lamp and hoisting the flag. Onejuice founder Deepak Baniyal, ACP Lalit Mohan Negi, Arjun Singh Kandari, Mahavir Rana etc were also present as special guests.

The colorful program of folk culture and folk music of Uttarakhand became the center of attraction. On this occasion, Anil Rauthan said that 960 players from 64 teams participated in the tournament, which is a unique record in itself.
