New Delhi: Sonnet Cricket Club defeated HCA Pioneer by 33 runs in the 50th Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament (Regd.) 2025.

Sonnet Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first.Opening batsman Shreeyansh set the stage ablaze with a scintillating knock of (87 runs off 47 balls) including 11 fours and 1 six. He was ably supported by Naman, who smashed 47 off just 21 balls (3 fours, 4 sixes).Shivam continued the onslaught with a fluent 42 off 21 balls (3 fours, 4 sixes).

Despite a few late wickets, Sonnet put up a challenging total of:194/8 in 20 overs. Luv 4/49, Samant 2/24.

Chasing 195, HCA Pioneer struggled to build momentum. Despite a few resistance efforts. Mayank  scored a fighting 47 off 30 balls (3 fours, 2 sixes). Arsh contributed 29 off 21 balls (4 fours, 1 six). Vivek showed late brilliance with 28 off 14 balls (3 fours, 2 sixes). The team, however, fell short and was bowled out for 161 in 20 overs. A high-quality contest that showcased exceptional batting from Sonnet and a spirited fightback from HCA Pioneer, but the day clearly belonged to Sonnet Cricket Club.
