New Delhi: The Bowling Federation of India is organizing 17th Asian Lawn Bowls Championship alongside the 15th Under-25 Asian Lawn Bowls Championship 2026 from 5th to 12th April 2026 at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram.

This prestigious international sporting event will bring together top lawn bowls athletes from across Asia, including participants from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Japan, and India. The championship aims to promote sporting excellence while fostering international camaraderie and cultural exchange among participating nations.

Lawn bowls has seen remarkable growth in India in recent years. A significant milestone was achieved at the Commonwealth Games 2022, where India’s women’s fours team secured a historic gold medal, and the men’s fours team earned a silver medal. Further enhancing the sport’s profile, two of India’s leading lawn bowls players have been honored with the prestigious Arjuna Award.

The championship will also host distinguished international dignitaries, including office bearers from various national bowling federations, many of whom have already begun arriving in India. They will attend the opening and closing ceremonies, visit the competition greens, and participate in the Bowls Asia Annual General Meeting.

Ensuring world-class standards of competition, Mr. Michael Johnson, Chief Technical Official from New Zealand, along with five other international technical officials from Australia and Thailand, will officiate the matches.

The event presents a unique opportunity for organizations to gain high-visibility brand exposure while supporting the development of a rapidly emerging sport in India and across Asia. Association with this championship reflects a strong commitment to promoting international sports and excellence.

The Bowling Federation of India is pleased to acknowledge the support extended by organizations such as Shiv Naresh and Cosco.
