Sportzon launches 5th Season of PCF Cup Cricket tournament

The event, not less than a festival for cricket lovers will commence on 5th November and would continue till 25th December 2022 at Genesis Global School, Sector 132 Expressway.

New Delhi: Sportzon and The Ponty Chadha foundation have jointly launched the 5th season of the PCF Cup, a well known Delhi-NCR Corporate cricket tournament, at hotel The Park, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
The first season of the tournament started in 2018 and it is continued since then.

Top Corporates from the country participate in this tournament every year. In season V, 16 teams from companies like Hero Motocorp, HDFC Bank, HCL Technologies, Capgemini, Teva, 24Seven, Wave Group, Dabur, The Statesman, Aaj Tak, Axa XL, Marj Technologies, Agricosmic, Sarvodaya Healthcare, Teleperformance and Adobe are participating.

The gleaming trophy and the dress of season-V was unveiled by the team captains in the presence of Mr HS Kandhari from Wave Group, Mr Manoj Attri Founder, PCF Cup and Sportzon, Mr. Rakesh Thapliyal, Editor-in-Chief of Khel Today, Mr. Ashok Kinker, Dr. Geet Kohli, Vikas Tripathi, Karan Mani and Avi Dahiya.

Mr. H S Kandhari spoke about ‘The Ponty Chadha Foundation’ and its work towards the society and how the foundation is making difference in the life of people in need.
He also mentioned about how the foundation was active during the Covid-19 pandemic and serving people. Sports in life are very important and we are supporting the initiative since its inception because we believe that sports keep you healthy and happy and add value to an individual’s social and professional life, he added.

“We are currently operating one sports complex at Wave City NH 24 and having a plan of launching few more soon in North India along with our mobile app. The PCF Cup will soon be played in different states and cities and we are planning to talk to organizations in different regions of the country, ” said Manoj Attri.

Senior Sports journalist Mr. Rakesh Thapliyal, during his speech, praised the organizers and said, ” In the past a lot of big Corporates have started cricket tournament but couldn’t continue it, but the organizers of the PCF CUP deserve big congratulations as they have entered in their 5th season, which is a tremendous success. We should be thankful to the Wave Group for all the support.” He also shared his experiences as a sports journalist with the guests.
The captains and representatives of participating teams congratulated the organizers and promised to perform better than the last year.
