New Delhi: A sensational century by Yajas R Sharma guided Bal Bhavan Dwarka into the semifinals of the 49th All India Lala Raghubir Singh Hot Weather Prize Money Cricket Tournament.

In the match played at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Bal Bhavan Dwarka defeated Mount Cricket Club by 4 wickets to secure their place in the last four. Batting first, Mount Cricket Club were bowled out for 247 runs in 34.2 overs. Pranav Rajvanshi and Kartik Sidhu scored 44 runs each, while Yugal Saini added 33 runs. Bal Bhavan Dwarka bowlers delivered a disciplined performance to restrict the opposition from posting a bigger total.

In reply, Bal Bhavan Dwarka chased down the target in a blazing fashion, scoring 251/6 in just 19.1 overs. Yajas R Sharma emerged as the star performer with a breathtaking 108 off only 37 balls, smashing 13 fours and 8 sixes. He also shone with the ball, taking 1 wicket for just 9 runs.

Karan Garg contributed 39 runs, Yash Dhull scored 26, while Mohak Kumar added 27 runs to support the successful chase. For Bal Bhavan Dwarka, Shiva Singh claimed 3 wickets for 53 runs, Prince picked up 2 for 53, and Dev Lakra took 2 for 28. For Mount Cricket Club, Vivek Tiwari bowled impressively.

For his outstanding all-round performance, Yajas R Sharma was adjudged the “Man of the Match.” The award was presented by Mr. Rupesh Jaipuria of Modern School, Barakhamba Road.
