New Delhi, August 18: South Delhi Superstarz registered a commanding 10-wicket win over West Delhi Lions in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Monday, with a superb all-round performance.

Batting first, West Delhi Lions were bowled out for 169, as South Delhi Superstarz kept picking up wickets at regular intervals. Anshuman Hooda was the star with the ball, claiming an impressive 4/27 in 3.5 overs.

The Lions lost opener Ankit Kumar early, but Nitish Rana and Krish Yadav steadied the innings with an 83-run partnership for the second wicket. Rana looked in excellent touch and scored 60 off 33 balls before his dismissal triggered a collapse.

Krish Yadav was dismissed soon after for 25 off 26 balls, and the Lions began losing wickets quickly. Ayush Doseja tried to hold the innings together and scored 27 off 20 balls, but received little support from the other end.

Hooda finished with four wickets, while Vivek Tiwari also impressed with 2/16 in three overs as the Superstarz bowled out the Lions for 169.

Chasing 170, South Delhi Superstarz made the target look easy. Openers Sanat Sangwan and Anmol Sharma took complete control from the start and put the Lions’ bowling attack under pressure.

Sangwan played the aggressor’s role and kept finding boundaries, while Sharma provided solid support at the other end. The opening pair remained unbeaten throughout the chase.

Sangwan completed a brilliant century and finished unbeaten on 111 off just 54 balls, while Sharma stayed not out on 55 off 38 balls at the Arun Jaitley Stadium that will host international matches between India and Afghanistan.

The Superstarz raced to the target without losing a wicket in just 15.2 overs.
