New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in the national capital will play host to the ASMITA Fencing League National Championship, which takes center stage from July 27 to 31. This prestigious event showcases the finest fencing talent in the country, with around 500 women fencers set to compete across Foil, Epee, and Sabre disciplines.

The league has garnered significant support, with a substantial allocation of Rs. 17.10 Lakh for prize money and Rs. 34.21 Lakh for event conduct. The selection process is open.

Some of the significant fencers taking part are Tannu Gulia, Shreya Gupta, Laishram Abi Devi and more.

The ASMITA Fencing League plays a crucial role in identifying and nurturing young talent. By providing a platform for fencers to compete at a high level, the league contributes to the overall development of the sport in the country.
