New Delhi: The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will host “TURF 2024”, 14th Global Sports Summit, on 30 November 2024, at the FICCI headquarters in New Delhi. With the overarching theme, ‘Vision 2036: Making India a Sporting Powerhouse’, the summit will spotlight India’s bold bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games and create a roadmap for the nation’s growth as a global sports leader.

The one-day event will bring together leading voices from the sports industry, including policymakers, corporates, athletes, and global experts, to discuss critical topics such as grassroots sports development, innovation in sports manufacturing, the role of women in sports, and the evolving ecosystem of sports leagues in India.

The summit will conclude with the India Sports Awards 2024, honouring individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to Indian sports. This year’s awards will be adjudicated by an esteemed jury chaired by Mr. Charu Sharma and will include prominent sports figures and industry leaders.

Speaking about the event, P.K.S.V. Sagar, Chairperson, FICCI Sports Committee & President of GMR Sports, said, “These are exciting times for Indian sports. A sports revolution is taking place, and TURF 2024 serves as a unique platform to discuss the vision, challenges, and immense potential of India’s vision to become a global sporting destination. This summit isn’t just about ideas, it’s about turning India’s sporting dreams into reality by bringing together industry leaders, athletes, and policymakers to further strengthen our robust sports ecosystem.”

“We are looking forward to an insightful day of discussions, collaborations, and actionable strategies as a collective. Bringing industry intent together with governing bodies vision is at the heart of what we promise to deliver this year at TURF 2024,” he added.
